Top 31 Horror Movies: In Conclusion
These movies are the ones that I feel are most creative, most memorable, and honestly the ones that had a lasting impression on me. And yes, I know, I didn’t mention Friday the 13th *gasp!* I’m gonna be honest, it’s not my fave. But that’s okay. We all have different opinions, and that’s great! But these are the movies I remember growing up with for the most part.
I remember my sisters and my cousin and I would stay up late watching Chucky and Carrie with our grandma. One time during a sleepover my sister was having, I remember my dad scaring the shit out of us when we were watching Pet Sematary by banging on my sister’s window. We used to watch Tales from the Crypt (which I know isn’t on this list because it’s not a movie, but it’s still a favorite) and still have our favorite moments and quotes memorized. We used to watch Fright Night on a regular basis too. But the first horror movie I ever saw was A Nightmare on Elm Street and it’s my favorite to this day. It was my first horror tattoo I ever got and then we just went from there, haha!

I love horror movies too. Thanks for sharing your list, I’ll be adding some of these to my queue!
Thanks for your comment! I hope you found some new movie ideas for Halloween!
Exorcist and Exorcism of Emily Rose are big no’s for me. They brought me nightmares growing up. IT, A Quiet Place and Chucky series are tolerable. You really have a great horror movie list.
Funny story, I watched The Exorcist when I was 6 and was too afraid to go to the bathroom by myself for weeks 😂. I’m a big fan of The Exorcism of Emily Rose though! Thanks for commenting!
My hubby loves horror movies so I will share this list with him! He is always looking for a movie to see. I am too much of a chicken to watch but surprisingly have seen a few on your list.
